About the Presenters
Marco Reni is an Architect at Mediaset (MFE), the biggest broadcaster in Italy and one of the largest free broadcasters in Europe. He is in charge of all the frontend architectures and services. Over the years, he has taken responsibility of several high profile projects - including Mediaset Voting Platform, featured in different case studies - leveraging his background as a Backend/DevOps Engineer. In his free time he likes to play the piano, eat a good ramen and take photos while traveling around the world.
Jacopo Tagliabue is the co-founder and CTO of Bauplan. Educated in several acronyms across the globe (UNISR, SFI, MIT), Jacopo was co-founder of Tooso, a NLP startup acquired by Coveo in 2019. He led Coveo’s AI from scale-up to IPO, and built out Coveo Labs, a prolific R&D practice whose libraries, models and datasets have collected thousands of stars and garnered tens of millions of downloads. While building his new company, Bauplan, he is teaching ML Systems at NYU, which is mostly notable because it is the only job he ever had that his parents understand.
