Resource Fairness: Implementing (and deprecating) a Lease Broker

Sometimes it’s necessary to put reasonable limits on how many resources any one consumer can use. Tune in to follow the developmental process of a workflow designed to handle resource management, learning from pitfalls encountered before and after deployment. Then, we’ll explore how the new Task Queue Fairness can eliminate the workflow while also optimizing the allocation of resources.

Andrew Wells is a senior software engineer at Relativity. He's played key roles in performing cloud transformations across a few of the company's services. One such transformation pioneered Relativity's adoptions of Temporal. Though the focus of his work is building and maintaining applications comprising APIs and scalable compute, he has also had broad experience with DevOps and observability. Andrew strives to build intuitive and elegant software solutions.
