LinkedIn's reliable migration of 3 million cpu cores of compute to Kubernetes by using Temporal
LinkedIn is modernizing its compute infra to better serve our customers. To achieve that, we have built Temporal workflows that reliably and automatically migrate 3+ million cpu cores of compute of 2000+ micro-services developed by thousands of engineers. We will share the key design decisions made, integrations with numerous systems during migration and lessons learned.
Ankit Methwani is a Sr. Software Engineer at LinkedIn focused on distributed systems and Kubernetes-based platforms. He is building LinkedIn’s Kubernetes platform to run stateless applications at scale while driving the migration of applications to LinkedIn’s next-generation platform.
