Announcing Priority & Fairness for Temporal
We’re announcing Task Queue Priority & Fairness, giving you control over what runs first and ensuring workloads share resources efficiently. In this session, we’ll cover how it works, when to use it, and the real-world benefits for production systems. Includes a live demo so you can see it in action.
David Reiss works on a variety of scalable queueing problems at Temporal, most recently task queue priority and fairness. He also built the first version of Schedules and contributed to many other Temporal features. Before being converted to the religion of Durable Execution, he worked on infrastructure systems at Google and a few small startups.
Rahul is an Engineering Leader at Temporal, currently heading the Matching team within Temporal Server to advance worker versioning, worker insights and complex task queue features like fairness and priority. Prior to joining Temporal, he built a career in scalable infrastructure with key engineering roles at Intel and Oracle Cloud.
